Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about DKIM inspection and validation
What is DKIM and how does it work?
DKIM uses cryptographic signatures to verify email authenticity. Your server adds a digital signature using a private key. Receiving servers verify it using the public key published in DNS.
What is the recommended DKIM key length?
2048-bit keys are recommended. Minimum 1024-bit (anything under is weak). 4096-bit offers more security but can cause DNS issues. 2048-bit is the best balance.
Can I have multiple DKIM selectors?
Yes, multiple selectors allow different email services to use different keys (e.g., 'google' for Google Workspace, 'sendgrid' for SendGrid). Our inspector can check any selector.
