What is an SPF record?

SPF (Sender Policy Framework) is a DNS TXT record that lists all IP addresses authorized to send email for your domain. It prevents email spoofing by verifying senders.

What is the SPF 10 lookup limit?

SPF allows maximum 10 DNS lookups. Each include, a, mx mechanism counts as one lookup. Exceeding this limit causes SPF validation to fail. Use SPF flattening to stay under the limit.

What does SPF ~all vs -all mean?

~all (soft fail) marks non-matching emails as suspicious, -all (hard fail) rejects them. -all provides stronger protection but requires careful testing to avoid blocking legitimate email.
